First, we explore how consultants can build personalised Level 2 Relationships with clients from the very first conversation. Level 2 is characterised by making and honouring commitments to each other, trusting that we will not undermine each other or harm our endeavours. Level 2 is vital for clients to feel safe enough to tell consultants everything that is going on that is relevant to their work together.

With a strong relationship established, we will then explore the Contracting Checklist. Contracting – the art of scoping what needs to be done – is the highest leverage aspect of the consulting cycle.  Get contracting right and successful work follows, get it wrong and you are headed for a world of pain.  The Checklist ensures you cover all the bases before rushing to action.
