Event overview:

You may work incredibly hard to be an inclusive employer, but if diverse candidates don’t know that, they still won’t apply.

As a recruitment leader, you know all the business benefits of a diverse workforce, but are you implementing all the best ways to attract diverse candidates?

Description:

On 10th October, The Talent Labs will host a virtual round table discussion for recruitment leaders where we’ll explore best practice in inclusive and accessible diverse talent attraction, with some quick and easy take-aways you can implement immediately.

There is still a huge disparity in the proportions of people from marginalised groups who are employed. This means that businesses are missing out on large amounts of talent from various communities including people from different ethnic backgrounds, people from the LGBTQIA+ community, women and disabled people. At the same time, most sectors are reporting skills shortages with many hard-to-fill roles.

Key Discussion Points

  • 5 ways to promote your organisation as an inclusive employer of choice
  • Inclusive imagery and language
  • Leveraging peer endorsement
  • The value of lived experience
  • Employees as ambassadors

You know that there are many great business reasons to attract diverse candidates, including filling skills shortages, harnessing different experiences and ways of thinking, mirroring your customer base for internal intelligence on a wider market, creating innovation, increasing productivity and profit (as stated in many studies from McKinsey, Accenture and others).

However, if you don’t feel you are attracting as many diverse candidates as you would like, this session will give you practical tips on how to change that.
